On March 30, the third session of the course “Contemporary Art” took place.
We immersed ourselves in digital art — from the first algorithmic experiments to NFTs, metaverses, and virtual spaces.
We explored what born-digital art is,
how code becomes an artistic medium, and why contemporary art increasingly works not with images, but with systems and environments.
💻 We discussed net art and the post-digital condition, talked about the problem of the original in the digital age, and examined how NFTs attempted to create a new economy of scarcity. Special attention was given to metaverses, avatars, and virtual communities as new forms of artistic experience.
