  • Graduated from the Philosophy Department of Rostov-on-Don State University in 1984. In 1989, he defended his dissertation at Tbilisi State University. Theme: "The Dialectics of the Relationship between Analytical and Figurative Components of Human Consciousness."
  • Head of the Philosophy Department at Batumi State University. Member of the City Duma (Batumi Municipality). Three times elected as a deputy of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Adjara (1991-1996; 2004-2008; 2012-2016). 2004-2008 – Member of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of the Council of Europe (Strasbourg).
  • Spring semesters 2003, 2004, and 2006. Visiting scholar, Department of Social Studies, The New School University. New York.
  • I love to travel. My work has allowed me to visit over 50 different countries around the world—from Germany to China and Mongolia, including such diverse countries as Albania, Norway, and Liechtenstein—which facilitates a comparative analysis of surrounding social phenomena.
