03.04.2026. Second session of the course “Economy of a Resort City”

The second session will be remembered for its small provocations, serious insights, and collaborative work — and we are moving forward!

The second session of the course “Economy of a Resort City” has taken place — and here are its key takeaways. We:

  1. Examined four models of a resort city economy — investment-based, hybrid, flow-based, and premium — as well as the pros and cons of each model.
  2. Learned that all-inclusive is about economics, not about free alcohol and hotel meals.
  3. Analyzed Batumi as an example: what risks and opportunities the city currently faces in choosing its model.

Well then, the second session will be remembered for its small provocations, serious insights, and collaborative work — and we are moving forward!

Next session: Session 3

Resort Real Estate Economics and Investment Strategy

That is where we will answer the questions: what looks the way it does, why does it look that way — and will it get better?
