06.04.2026. Next session of the course “Immunity”

Understanding the complex mechanisms of the immune system and the nature of allergic and autoimmune diseases.

06/04/2026

At the previous session of the course “Immunity,” participants deepened their understanding of the complex mechanisms of the immune system, focusing on the nature of allergic and autoimmune diseases. During the lecture, they examined in detail how such reactions of the body are formed and why the immune system sometimes begins to act against its own tissues.

Special attention was paid to mast cells — key elements of the immune response that play an important role in the development of allergic reactions. Participants learned how these cells function, which mediators they release, and why it is through them that the course of a number of diseases can be effectively influenced.

🧬 We discussed the evolutionary development of humans and the specific features of mutations in bacterial infections. This made it possible to look at immunity not only as a defense system, but also as the result of the body’s long-term adaptation to a changing environment and constantly evolving pathogens.
