Defended her PhD dissertation at Moscow State University on the application of mathematical and statistical methods in historical research. The results were published in the monograph NEP and Perestroika: The Mass Consciousness of the Rural Population in the Transition to a Market Economy.

Worked in the cooperation program between the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation and the US Treasury on the development of market economy indicators, including the Consumer Sentiment Index.

For more than 20 years, she worked on monitoring consumer sentiment among Russians; based on this work, she co-authored a book of the same name.

From 2008 to 2023, she worked at HSE University, where she headed the master’s program “Applied Methods of Social Analysis of Markets” and supervised academic work at the Department of Economic Sociology. She has publications in the Journal of Family Issues, the volume Gender and Power in Eastern Europe published by Springer, and Russian academic journals.

In December 2022, she left Russia. First, she moved to Georgia, and since September 2023, she has been based in Montenegro, where she and her colleagues created and are developing the Faculty of Liberal Arts and Sciences (FLAS). It is the first bachelor’s program to receive official accreditation in the host country. She is Deputy Dean of FLAS.
