Designed for those who would like to defend their rights independently, as well as for beginner and practicing lawyers, human rights defenders, and law students.

Course Learning Outcomes:

During the course, the following skills will be developed:

Understanding the basic principles of international law regulating the status of emigrants and refugees.

Assessing the risks of rights violations in cases of visa refusal, deportation, or expiration of the legal period of stay.

Developing individual and collective protection strategies, including the use of international mechanisms such as the ECtHR, the UN Human Rights Committee, the Committee against Torture, CEDAW, UN Special Rapporteurs, and others.

Final qualification project: analysis of a specific case related to the protection of human rights in emigration.
