A course for those who want to learn and independently use Shaolin practices that have been tested over thousands of years — health-improving exercises that were once part of traditional knowledge, but have now largely been lost. We will learn how to activate our bioenergetic system.

Course Topics:

  1. The Zhong Yuan Qigong system. The model of the human being in Traditional Chinese Medicine. Three levels of meaning in the exercises: physical, energetic, and informational. Four preparatory exercises and the “Big Tree” exercise.
  2. Phenomenal states that arise when exercises are performed correctly. Two methods of activating Qi. The “Transformation of Qi” exercise.
  3. Altered states of consciousness. The front and back central energy meridians. The “Small Heavenly Circle” exercise.
  4. Diagnostics using Traditional Chinese Medicine methods. Image Medicine. Methods for developing hand sensitivity. Exercises: breathing through biologically active points and methods for cleansing the bioenergetic field.
  5. Four therapeutic methods of Traditional Chinese Medicine. The central meridian. How to develop skills independently after the course.

Course Learning Outcomes

You will learn the four non-drug therapeutic methods of Traditional Chinese Medicine listed in the course topics. You will be able to use ancient Shaolin practices and apply bioenergetics for health and creativity.

Knowledge Assessment Format

A presentation of 5–6 slides in which the student must present their understanding of the goals of one of the exercises studied, agreed upon with the lecturer. The student should explain and demonstrate the process of performing the exercise, describe their sensations, and assess the effectiveness of the practice using the proposed scale.
