More COURSES — good and DIFFERENT ones: we are going beyond the social sciences and humanities! In the new semester, Nomadic University will offer students PHYSICS, MATHEMATICS, the use of AI, as well as the long-awaited courses on the NATURE OF GEORGIA and GEORGIAN CINEMA! 🤓
In the middle of summer, despite the general holiday season, the teaching team of NOMADIC University found time for a creative working meeting — right in an open-air café, Craft Food near 6 May Park 😁 Responding to our students’ requests, we are expanding the list of courses, broadening the ACADEMIC COUNCIL, and, with the participation of professional graduates, developing our website, through which it will now be easier to sign up for our courses.
In the next semester, you will see familiar faces among the lecturers: Nina Belyaeva with her courses Digital Nomads: Career & Education and We, the Citizens! Constitution and Its People, both taught in English; Igor Bezgalov with the course The Factory of Meanings. Marketing as a Campaign; Tatiana Sukhareva with the course Women’s Protest Movements: Social Transformations from the Late 20th to the First Quarter of the 21st Century; and Evgenia Rogacheva with the course Immunity in Traditional Chinese Medicine: Health, Prevention, and the Foundations of Acupuncture.
But our special pride is the new courses in the STEM category — technical sciences, which we clearly lacked for a fully developed university program. Meet our new lecturers:
- our best graduate of the Spring Semester, Alexander Lukyanov, will teach the foundations of mathematics and mathematical statistics,
- his colleague from the Internet School project in Batumi, Martin Varzhapetyan, will explore with students different ways of using AI — especially the trendiest one, Claude 😊 — and teach them how to use it effectively.
Anton Kraysky, a graduate of MIPT and a certified inventor, will introduce students to the world of quantum physics and its significance in our lives today and tomorrow.
Although they were unable to attend in person, political scientist Mikhail Khomin — a passionate traveler and organizer of hiking and cycling trips — sent a detailed program for his course on the unique natural sites of Western Georgia, and Giorgi Masalkin, Doctor of Philosophy and Head of the Department at Batumi State University, sent a program for his course on the mysteries, parable-based foundations, and distinctive film language of classic Georgian cinema.

We now have many courses, so we have decided to divide them in the Fall Semester into two streams, October and November. The first stream will include bachelor-level courses, which will end with pass/fail assessments or exams worth 2 ECTS credits, while the courses starting in mid-November will be more advanced, at the master’s level. They will require original research involving data collection and analysis and will conclude, as usual, with public defenses of Final Course Projects, whose value, depending on the complexity of the course, will be 3 or 4 ECTS credits.
An important update: since we are now working within the EU micro-credentials system, we are raising the requirements for course programs, education quality control, as well as the preparation and defense of Final Course Projects. These requirements will be described in a special Regulation. At the same time, meeting these requirements increases the value of our certificates and allows them to be confidently used when building a portfolio and continuing an educational pathway at universities in Europe, Asia, and the United States — something we will be happy to help our Nomadic graduates with.
